Troops in Town brings military history to life during Celina Lake Festival
CELINA, OH (WLIO) - During the Celina Lake Festival, make sure to stop by Harbor Point State Park for a living history lesson. Reenactors for "Troops in Town" will be out Saturday and Sunday with historic vehicles, weapons, and more, ready to teach people of all ages anything they'd like to know about the life of a World War II soldier. You can walk through the troops' camps and talk to the men and women in uniform, and there will also be child-sized weapons and helmets for kids' photo ops. Reenactors hope the experience leaves everyone with a greater appreciation for what our veterans went through by seeing both their living conditions and realistic battles.
