Cole Camp Fair Board Will Host Freewill Fundraiser Breakfast
The summer is racing by and the 2024 Cole Camp Fair is less than two short months away. The Cole Camp Fair Board is hosting a fundraiser breakfast for this year’s fair on Saturday, August 3, at the Legion Hall on North Maple Street. The breakfast will be served from 6:30 AM until 9:00 AM. Free will donations will help with general expenses of this year’s fair.

Two Jefferson City woman seriously injured in collision near Versailles
Two women from Jefferson City are seriously injured in a Morgan County crash. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Charla Bacon, 62, was driving on Highway 52 Wednesday afternoon about a mile-and-a-half east of Versailles. The patrol says Bacon was making a left-hand turn when she traveled into the path of an oncoming car, causing the car to strike her SUV.

Early Wednesday morning, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a truck that was following too closely and failing to maintain its lane. The stop took place near Thompson Boulevard and Brianna Boulevard. The driver was found to have a suspended driving license. Francisco Marcos Torres, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended, Following Too Closely, and No Proof of Insurance. Torres was released with a citation on scene.
