MIAMI COUNTY, Kan. — A Carthage woman is charged with helping her son cover-up and evade authorities in her daughter-in-law’s murder. Kansas prosecutors charged Heather McJunkins, 46, with one count of obstructing apprehension or prosecution, and one count of interference with a law enforcement officer by concealing or destroying evidence of a felony.
'Never stop looking': Missing Columbia man found dead, family and police confirm
Police have confirmed that a Columbia man who went missing in October 2022 has been found dead. Jason Washington's body was found on June 7, according to his wife, Tamitra Williams. She announced it on the Bring Jason Washington Home Facebook page, which she created to source tips to find him.

Early Wednesday morning, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a truck that was following too closely and failing to maintain its lane. The stop took place near Thompson Boulevard and Brianna Boulevard. The driver was found to have a suspended driving license.
