Familiar Face Will Lead Truman Dam Operations
Warsaw resident Rich Chiles has been named as the new Operations Project Manager of Harry S. Truman Dam & Reservoir. Chiles began his career at HTDR in 1990 while attending college at Missouri State University. After graduation, Chiles worked at Bull Shoals Lake in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Later he transferred to Carlyle Lake in Illinois.
PCCP To Break Ground For New Location August 1
Pettis County Community Partnership will hold a ground-breaking ceremony Thursday, Aug. 1 at 10 a.m., at 521 East 3rd Street, for their new facility. PCCP will be moving from the State Fair Shopping Center to the new site, located across from the Katy Depot, 600 E. 3rd Street, and next to the Boys & Girls Club's Teen Center site, which broke ground a few months ago.
Stone new pastor at Bois D’Arc UMC

Woman killed, juvenile injured after being hit by car in Phelps County
ST JAMES, Mo. — A pedestrian was killed and another was hospitalized after being struck while crossing the highway in St. James. According to a post from the St. James Police Department, a 31-year-old woman and a juvenile were crossing the roadway at about 9 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of North Jefferson Street and State Highway B, located just off of Interstate 44. Police did not share the exact age of the juvenile.
