Why UCLA Will Win

The Hawaii offense didn’t exactly click against Delaware State.

It wasn’t bad, but Brayden Schager and the passing attack connected on just half of the throws, the ground game didn’t exactly take over, and the game was far too close far too late against a vastly inferior team.

New Bruin offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy won’t do anything crazy. Pound away, run the ball, and control the clock for close to 35 minutes.

Beyond getting a live scrimmage out of the way to start getting the timing down, Hawaii should be a little sharper with the passing game.

Hawaii should play better than it did last Saturday - at least for about 20 minutes.

UCLA will need a little while to settle in offensively, and then a few big pops will come from the ground game that will find its groove by the third drive, and the passing game will follow.

Schager and the Hawaii air show will look fine for a while, and then the mistakes and turnovers will come to open this up a little bit.
