Following the Colorado Buffaloes' exciting 31-26 Week 1 victory over the FCS-level North Dakota State Bison, college football fans were in awe of the impressive performance by Colorado star wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter.

Hunter finished the game with seven receptions for a total of 132 yards and three touchdowns, including a circus-like catch in the front corner of the endzone to give the Buffs a 31-20 lead in the fourth quarter.

As the primetime matchup highlighted Thursday's slate of games, Hunter's performance easily caught the attention of fans nationwide as the Buffs' two-way player showcased why he is one of the nation's most exciting players.

One fan reacted to Hunter's play against the Bison by saying he should be selected in the top 5 of next year's NFL draft and that there isn't a better college football player in the nation than Hunter.

Former ESPN college football analyst Robert Griffin III joined the conversation with a similar reaction but suggested Hunter should be considered a potential No. 1 pick in the NFL draft.

Another fan gave a warning to Travis Hunter doubters by explaining if he continues to have impressive stat lines like he did against the Bison, he could end up winning the Heisman Trophy this fall.

Lebron James even joined the flood of reactions by stating Hunter's skillset showcased against the Bison was unreal.

As spectacular of a game Hunter had, Colorado will now look to next week's matchup in Lincoln, Nebraska against a Nebraska Cornhuskers team seeking revenge for last season's loss in Boulder.

The Buffs will take on the Cornhuskers from Memorial Stadium on Sept. 7, with a 7:30 p.m. ET start. The game will be broadcast on NBC in their primetime slot.
