Boom! Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class has added its second defensive line prospect. Three-star defensive lineman Chace Sims announced his commitment on Tuesday afternoon.

Heading into his senior season at Randle High School in Richmond, Texas, Sims is as underrated as a defensive lineman can get. He possesses impressive versatility along the line of scrimmage with the speed, power and hand technique to make his way to the backfield at a high rate.

Standing 6 feet, 2 1/2 inches and 305 pounds, Sims moves with ease. He  works at the 3-tech defensive line spot while being deployed off the edge as a free rusher. He consistently smothers athletic quarterbacks who attempt to make plays out of the play’s structure.

Backing up his impressive tape, Sims recorded 86 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks during his 2023 junior year and looks to be a favorite of Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko and defensive coordinator Jay Bateman after taking an official visit to College Station on June 21.

According to 247Sports, Sims is the 61st-ranked defensive lineman in the class and the 89th-ranked prospect in Texas.
