Texas A&M offers 2026 4-star CB out of out of Houston (TX)

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class , which includes 18 commitments, is entering its final stages amid a busy summer, as head coach Mike Elko and his staff are also focused on gaining as many commitments as possible in the 2026 cycle before next summer’s complete focus.

So far, A&M’s 2026 class has landed verbals from three-star safety Markel Ford and three-star cornerback Ryan Gilbert . As of this weekend, Elko has fielded an offer to North Shore HS cornerback Chace Calicut, who is entering his junior season at one of the most prestigious football programs in the country.

Having received nearly 15 offers so far, Calicut has the length, speed, and quickness to develop into a starting outside corner at the next level, currently standing at 6’3″ and 190 pounds.

Mike Elko’s defensive scheme requires taller corners to press receivers at the line of scrimmage while playing with consistent physicality, which are traits Calicut already brings to the table.

According to Rivals, Calicut is currently positioned as the 200th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 24th-ranked prospect in Texas, and the 14th-ranked cornerback prospect.
