    FRISCO — A total of a 100 Texas A&M University- Commerce student athletes were named to the Southland Conference Spring 2024 Commissioner's Honor Roll, setting a Lion record for most in a semester since joining the Southland Conference

    The Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll list recognizes student athletes in the sports of men's basketball, women's basketball, men's golf, and women's golf, softball, men's track and field, and women's track and field who maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average in the semester of their respective sport.

    The men's track and field team led the way with 31 honorees, while the women's track and field team had 22 honorees. The softball team followed with 18 honorees and the men's basketball team had nine honorees.

    The women's golf team had eight student athletes on the roster this spring and all eight were named to the honor roll list. The women's basketball team had seven honorees, while the men's golf team had five honorees.
