The Puyallup Tribe and restaurateur Roy Yamaguchi's new restaurant, Woven Seafood & Chophouse, is set to open July 9 on Tacoma’s Ruston Way waterfront. Owned by the tribe and managed by the Seattle-based management group Columbia Hospitality, Woven Seafood & Chophouse aims to celebrate the diverse culture of the Puget Sound and reestablish the presence of the Puyallup in its native homeland, a release said.
Melanie’s Park Opens at Thea Foss Waterway
After about a year of work, Melanie’s Park in Tacoma opened on Thea Foss Waterway earlier this spring. 14-year-old in Kent arrested for DUI, evading police
Kent police arrested a 14-year-old for allegedly driving under the influence and evading police last Friday. On Friday, the teenage suspect failed to stop at a stop sign on West Meeker Street in Kent. Kent police officers working emphasis patrols initiated a stop and signaled for the car to pull over. According to police officers on the scene, the car was drifting outside of the travel lane and ran a red light.
Suspect arrested in I-5 fatal stabbing in Federal Way
A suspect was identified in the murder of a 19-year-old man who died following a stab wound to the neck in a violent mid-day incident on Interstate 5 in Federal Way.
