The 2024 college football season is almost here, which means it is time to get ready to root for your Texas A&M Aggies as they begin a new era with Mike Elko returning to College Station. The administration opted to bite the bullet and pay the buyout to remove Jimbo Fisher as head coach last season. Elko brings a much quieter feel to Aggieland.

The season gets off to a hot start with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish coming to Kyle Field in the opener. Elko previously coached the Irish defense before his first stint with Texas A&M. His former quarterback at Duke, Riley Leonard, will be suiting up for the Irish. It should be quite a show to start the 2024 campaign.

The following week the Aggies head to McNeese for a game against the Cowboys before opening SEC play against the Florida Gators at home. Texas A&M will close out September with a home game against Bowling Green and then the annual matchup with the Arkansas Razorbacks at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

October will feature three SEC matchups, two at home. Missouri and LSU will come to College Station, and the Aggies will travel to Starkvegas to face the Mississippi State Bulldogs after the open week on Oct. 19. The final month of the season features road trips to South Carolina and Auburn sandwiched around the final nonconference matchup against New Mexico State. The season finale signals the return of the Lone Star Rivalry against the Texas Longhorns .

That game will have Kyle Field rocking.
