FreedomFest Prepares For Largest Firework Show In Area
Thousands of fireworks will fill the sky on the Fourth of July at FreedomFest in Tulsa. Crews spent the day before loading the 6,000 firework shells that will be in the show. "We increased the budget a little bit this year, so trying to do some larger fireworks than maybe typical in years past," said Jeff Edwards with River Parks Authority.
Tulsa Community Pool Closed And Asking For Help After Storm Damage
A Tulsa community pool is still closed, right in the middle of swimming season, because of last week's storms. The Forest Creek Pool near 81st and Harvard is not funded by its neighborhood homeowners association or the City of Tulsa. It has memberships and is also open to the public.

Tulsa, Okla. — An Owasso homeowners Association is asking residents to stay away from the ponds in their neighborhood due to blue-green algae which is killing the fish. The Lake Valley Home Owner’s Association in Owasso took to social media asking residents to steer clear of one of several neighborhood ponds, saying there is blue-green algae present. that combined with the heat, shallow waters in the pond, and the chemicals caused the carp fish that lived there to die.
