    June 8-9: “Unite With Pride” celebration & pride parade

    (COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Pikes Peak Pride celebration is in full swing downtown this weekend, featuring live entertainment, local vendors, food, and activities.

    The main festivities are happening on June 8 and June 9, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Alamo Square Park. On Saturday night, Blake Lewis, the runner-up on the sixth season of American Idol, will perform from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Tickets to the event can be found online and are $10 for general admission and $100 for VIP meet and greet.

    A full schedule of events on the main stage is available on the Pikes Peak Pride website.

    The festival will culminate in a pride parade tomorrow, Sunday, June 9 at 11 a.m. The parade route will be in downtown Colorado Springs, along Tejon St. from Platte Ave. to Vermijo Ave., and will feature 70 different organizations.

    “Pikes Peak Pride is a powerful demonstration of our commitment to diversity and inclusion. We are thrilled to bring the community together to celebrate and support one another,” said Jessica Laney, President of Pikes Peak Pride.
