    CSPD: Two victims taken to apartment by gunpoint and assaulted

    (COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a man and woman were the victims of a kidnapping and assault after they were allegedly taken to an apartment complex at gunpoint in southeast Colorado Springs, now two suspects have been arrested and are facing charges.

    On Monday, June 10 at around 2:50 a.m. officers were called to an apartment complex in the 2500 block of Hancock Expressway after a man was hospitalized with serious injuries after he allegedly escaped an apartment after being taken there at gunpoint.

    Police said a second victim, a woman, was initially not found, but officers were able to locate her and she later confirmed the first victim’s version of events. According to police, it was determined that both victims were allegedly held and assaulted in an apartment for a period of time.

    After an investigation, officers were able to identify two suspects, Linda Guest and Joseary Arizmendi, who were taken into custody at 9 a.m. on Monday for Kidnapping and other related charges.

    The two victims were treated at the hospital for their injuries.
