Colorado Springs Italian restaurant named best in state

The publication Lovefood created a list of each U.S. state's best Italian restaurant, and they range from family-run delis and old-school pizza spots to fine dining restaurants.

Paravicini's Italian Bistro was named Colorado's best Italian restaurant. Located in Colorado Springs, Paravicini's is owned by Franco Pisani, an Italian chef who grew up watching his mother cook in the family bakery. Pisani opened Paravicini's in 2003. Pisani has a "culinary style rooted in family tradition and a passion for authentic Italian cuisine."

The menu features classic pasta dishes like spaghetti and meatballs but is also known for its seafood pasta, which includes shrimp scampi risotto and Seafood Fra Diavolo.

Paravicini's Italian Bistro has 4.1 stars on Yelp , and reviewers praise the restaurant's atmosphere, service, and food. One reviewer writes that "this restaurant was excellent from the salads to the desserts," and that "the staff was extremely attentive." Another writes that the restaurant has a "beautiful comforting atmosphere," and that the staff is kind and "treats you like family."
