Two people were taken to the hospital following a crash, according to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD).

It happened around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Uintah Street and 20th Street.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) the truck ran a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a motorcycle.

CSPD says two passengers on the motorcycle were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Both are expected to survive.

The driver of the pickup truck remains on the scene, and is cooperating with the investigation.

Police say that drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the crash.

Police also say that the intersection is expected to remain closed for another hour.
