Don’t stow those skis away quite yet—Arapahoe Basin, Colorado, will remain open until June 16th, 2024 for a total of 222 lift-served days this winter, marking the state’s longest ski and ride season. The ski area made the announcement today, June 3rd, 2024.

Previously, Arapahoe Basin hoped to continue running the lifts for skiers and snowboarders through June 9th.

This month, the resort is adhering to a limited schedule. Monday through Thursday, Arapahoe Basin is closed, reopening for skiing and riding on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Operating hours have been reduced to preserve the remaining snow (8:30 am to 2:00 pm daily), and two lifts are available in June: Black Mountain and Lenawee Express.

“Summer skiing is hot, and snow melts quickly,” read a press release from Arapahoe Basin. “Before the snow gets too soft we close for the day to allow the snow time to refreeze and be skiable another day.” Arapahoe Basin urged skiers to be aware of changing snow conditions and to "respect all signage and closures."

On June 16th—the last day of the season—Arapahoe Basin will host a live music event at its base area, with details regarding involved musicians forthcoming.

The summer season at Arapahoe Basin begins June 28th as originally planned, featuring mountain biking, scenic lift rides, hiking, and the via ferrata. The price of Summer Pass Products increases on June 16th. Currently, summer passes are available for $199.
