The Oregon Trail Brewfest has become the biggest beer event in Oregon’s Clackamas County, and probably one of the largest local beer fests still taking place in the state. This Saturday, July 20th the Oregon Trail Brewfest presented by Oregon City Brewing returns for it’s 5th year at the delightful location the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center.
Get ready for return of West Linn’s music in the park
Five weeks of live music on Thursday evenings in Tanner Creek Park kicks off July 25. Northwest country band Brewer’s Grade will perform West Linn’s first music in the park event of the summer July 25, followed by cover band Collective Nation Aug. 1. The following week Red Light Romeos, a group known for covers of 1970s rock, will take the Tanner Creek stage Aug. 8. Jennifer Batten and Full Steam will rock out in the park Aug. 15 before Ants in the Kitchen closes out the summer with the last show Aug. 22. Concerts take place 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday evenings. Attendees should bring a blanket or low-backed chair to sit on. Several food vendors will also be on site.

Lake Oswego to refer Stevens Meadows ballot measure to voters
After the city of Lake Oswego completed polling showing that local residents have some interest in allowing Clackamas County to encroach upon the protected Stevens Meadows park property to bolster safety on Stafford Road, the City Council voted Tuesday, July 16 to refer the issue to voters. While Wilsonville has the capacity to meet forecasted housing needs, according to a recent draft of the city government’s housing analysis, many households face a significant housing cost burden. Wilsonville City Council adopts new contracts with city staff
At a meeting on Monday, July 15, the Wilsonville City Council adopted two new three-year contracts for city employees, effective July 1. The contracts include pay raises, but Wilsonville Human Resources manager Andrea Villagrana said no significant changes were made from the previous contract. Villagrana said one contract pertains to those that fall under Federal Transit Administration guidelines, including transit drivers, dispatch, fleet employees, mechanics and service workers.
