Pedestrian Access Reopened Through Pine Street Plaza And Footbridge In Downtown Pullman
Pedestrian access has reopened through the Pine Street Plaza and the adjacent footbridge over the South Fork of the Palouse River in downtown Pullman. The plaza and bridge were closed last week so crews could install a new stormwater pipe from Main Street to the River. The work is part of the reconstruction of Main Street this summer. The contractor has reopened a path over the bridge and through the plaza. The access will be closed intermittently as the stormwater work continues. The bridge and plaza were initially going to be completely closed to pedestrians until mid-August.

Idaho is one step closer to narrowing down where to place federally-funded electric vehicle charging stations. The Idaho Governor’s Office of Energy and Mineral Resources, Idaho Transportation Department and Idaho Department of Environmental Quality announced on Monday potential locations for deploying electric vehicle charging infrastructure under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program, also referred to as NEVI.
