    Vote: 200-yard rushing night headlines Columbia area boys athlete of the week nominees

    The Tennessee high school football season kicked off in the Columbia area last week, and a handful of area players filled up the stat sheet.

    Cast your vote below for the Columbia area boys athlete of the week for the week of Aug. 19-24 . Make sure to get your vote in before the poll closes at noon on Thursday.

    Here are the nominees.

    Montae Baldwin, Columbia Academy: Baldwin rushed for 227 yards and two touchdowns as Columbia Academy defeated MTCS 42-20. Baldwin also set the Columbia Academy career rushing record with 4,353 yards.

    Mason Tidwell, Loretto: Tidwell was 11-of-17 passing for 316 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 11 yards as Loretto beat Collinwood 35-0.

    Jakyri McClure, Mt. Pleasant: McClure had three receptions for 143 yards and a touchdown in Mt. Pleasant's 37-6 win over Wayne County.

    Patrick Bunch, Spring Hill: Bunch had four kickoff returns for 196 yards and a touchdown, averaging 49 yards a return as Spring Hill fell 28-16 to Summit.

    Dillon Pierce, Summit: Pierce ran 16 times for 116 yards and a touchdown as Summit defeated Spring Hill 28-16.
