New Scholarship For Theater Students
Jest Murder Mystery Co. recently launched the Jest Laugh Scholarship, which aims to remove financial obstacles for those pursuing their passion for comedy and theater. The scholarship is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled in a theater program. Ideal candidates will have a knack for improv and a strong sense of humor. Applicants will share their personal experience with humor, as well as their experience in theater and how a theater degree will benefit them.
Pre-med tips and tricks for the summer… and the upcoming school year
Being a pre-med student in college can be challenging. Because of this, I wanted to share a few tips and tricks that I’ve learned or have been advised about throughout my time as a pre-med student at Saint Louis University (SLU) so that fellow students who may have not learned about them yet or upcoming pre-meds who are about to start on their college journey, can best prepare themselves for future medical school applications.

In Her Own Words: Girls State Opens Marquette Student’s Eyes to Opportunities in Government
Anvi Talyan, a rising Marquette High senior, was one of 12 Rockwood School District students to participate in this year’s Missouri Girls State program, which was held the last week of June on the campus of Lindenwood University. During the program, participants utilize the democratic system as a basis to form their own state, teaching the value of public office, the strength of the individual voice and the importance of voting. Participants hear from notable speakers throughout the week and hold elections to choose representatives at the city, county and state level. Talyan was one of 10 representatives elected for her county and one of five Rockwood students to earn elected office at Girls State.
