Missouri Tigers Land Game Changing Recruit in Big Commitment Announcement

The Missouri Tigers are rolling on the recruiting trail. The team earned one of its best additions of the 2025 cycle.

The Tigers received a commitment from elite Mesquite (TX) offensive tackle Lamont Rodgers.

The Dallas area prospect is one of the top offensive linemen in the country. He ranks as the No. 7 offensive tackle and No. 55 overall player in the 247Sports composite rankings.

If there is an area that fueled Missouri's resurgence last season it was the team's ability to compete in the trenches.

Last season, the Tigers went 11-2 and capped the season with a physical victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl.

The commitment of Rodgers comes on the heels of a big portal haul along the offensive line this offseason. The Tigers added Cayden Green (Oklahoma) and Marcus Bryant (SMU) to fortify their offensive line for 2024.

The Tigers still have room for improvement with several key players set to depart after the 2024 season. Still, a fast start in the 2025 recruiting class has the team in position to stay competitive past this season.

Missouri will look to improve on its No. 14 ranked class over the next few months. It will open the season against Murray State on Aug. 29.
