Grant will help bring Jabberwocky Studios programs to more Columbia kids

A recent Veterans United Foundation grant will make it easier for youth to access Jabberwocky Studios and its dance, theater and STEAM programs.

The $18,000 grant will allow the nonprofit to bring programs directly to neighborhoods aboard the Art Bus and facilitate transportation for children for studio programs.

“Lack of transportation is a significant barrier that can prevent many young people from accessing arts and educational opportunities. We’re deeply grateful for the continuing support of Veterans United Foundation,” said Linda Schust, executive director. “A previous donation enabled us to purchase a passenger van, underscoring our shared commitment to equity in our community. This $18,000 grant continues and extends that commitment, which is crucial in providing programming to underserved children.”

The foundation supports "initiatives that create positive impacts beyond the business realm," the award announcement noted.
