More than two years later, three suspects connected to a mass shooting at a Columbia mall have been indicted on multiple counts of aggravated assault and attempted murder, court records show.

On Easter weekend in 2022, a total of 14 people, ranging in age from 15 to 73, were injured during a shooting at Columbiana Centre. Three suspects — Marquise Love Robinson, 22, Amari Sincere-Jamal Smith, 23, and Jewayne M. Price, 24 — were indicted on a flurry of charges earlier this month, including attempted murder, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a handgun.

Of those injured in the shooting, nine were hit by gunfire and five others were hurt as people fled to the exits, according to the Columbia Police Department.

After the shooting, Police Chief Skip Holbrook said he believed the suspects all knew each other, and that the shooting was not a random act of violence.

All three suspects were denied bond following their arrest in 2022 and remain in the Lexington County Detention Center.

No other information was immediately available, including upcoming court dates.
