Man taken to hospital after two-vehicle collision in McCracken County
PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) - A Paducah man was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle injury collision in McCracken County, Kentucky. Around 3:19 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle collision rollover with injuries near the intersection of US Hwy 68 East and Exit 16 Interstate 24 Eastbound ramp.

POSSUM TROT, Ky. (KFVS) - Kentucky State Police Post 1 is investigating a murder in Marshall County after locating a deceased man with a gunshot wound. Around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, KSP Post 1 received a call from the US Forestry Service regarding an abandoned vehicle that was located in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
Mayfield woman celebrates 100th birthday
MAYFIELD, KY — Wanda Burgess celebrated her 100th birthday Saturday, June 29, with family and friends. Wanda was born in 1924. She attended Dublin High School and went to Dublin Baptist Church for much of her life. During WWII, she worked at the Viola war plant loading shells for the war effort. She married Joseph Bodine Burgess in 1946, following his return from military service in Europe. She was an owner of Burgess Brothers IGA in Mayfield with her husband and his brother. Later on, she worked at Merritt Clothing and Dewberry's in Mayfield.
