Supreme Court denies appeal by road rage murderer Jamal Smith
ST PAUL, Minn. — The man convicted of murdering a youth baseball coach in an act of road rage will not get a new trial after the Minnesota Supreme Court denied his appeal. Jamal Smith was convicted of first-degree murder by a Hennepin County jury and sentenced to life in prison for the shooting death of Jay Boughton, who was returning from a baseball game with his teenage son the night of July 6, 2021, when Smith opened fire on Highway 169 in Plymouth. Prosecutors maintained that Smith was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic, nearly hitting Boughton's truck. When the baseball coach flipped him off, Smith fatally shot him in the neck.

Guilty Plea in Rochester Drug Case Involving 4500 Fentanyl Pills
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A guilty plea was entered today by a Twin Cities woman who was caught with thousands of fentanyl pills in Rochester earlier this year. Court records indicate 31-year-old Safia Sied Mohamed was arrested on March 28 after Rochester Police responded to a report of two people passed out in the vehicle parked inside the city's Second Street Parking Ramp. While speaking to the occupants of the vehicle, one of the responding officers spotted burnt tinfoil and a burnt straw on the floor near the driver's feet.

The first exclusion was at my local community center at Palace Recreation Center. After a hard day at work, what Princess Titus wanted most was to “feed her heart,” which, at the time, craved fried chicken and hot sauce. Titus, senior engagement officer and one of three co-founders of Appetite for Change, a north Minneapolis organization centered on food and urban agriculture, was set to meet that night to cook with members of AFC’s youth program. The 46-year-old man killed in north Minneapolis has been identified
TaVaughn LaMarr Combs, aged 46, has been identified as the victim of the homicide that occurred in Minneapolis on Friday. At around 7:40 a.m., Minneapolis PD received a call and found Combs deceased at the 2100 block of Thomas Ave North. He was discovered five hours after a ShotSpotter had been activated in the area of 21st Ave North and Uptown Ave North.
