Local Man Sentenced to Over 9 Years in Prison for Multiple Felonies
Hendersonville – Lafoy Ball Jr., 57, of Hendersonville, was recently sentenced to a minimum of 110 months and a maximum of 144 months in prison after pleading guilty to three counts of Felony Larceny, including one Felony Larceny from a Construction Site. Ball also acknowledged his status as a Habitual Felon during the hearing. The sentencing was presided over by the Honorable Superior Court Judge Peter Knight.
Officials find missing, endangered 85-year-old in Henderson Co.
HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons said a missing and endangered man has been found in Henderson County. According to officials, 85-year-old Richard Lee Dulin was last seen leaving a home in Hendersonville in a red Ford F150 with North Carolina license plate: HD62688. The truck has a “very large” trailer hitch.
Bridge dedication ceremony to take place for slain deputy
HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (828newsnow) — The community is coming together on Thursday to honor a fallen hero. The bridge located on Hendersonville’s Four Seasons Boulevard at the I-26 overpass is being dedicated to Henderson County Deputy Ryan Hendrix, who was killed in the line of duty in September 2020. A dedication ceremony is planned for July 18, starting at 9 a.m., outside the front entrance of the sheriff’s office, located at 100 North Grove Street in Hendersonville.
