Columbus and Central Ohio Weather

The severe thunderstorm watch for southwestern Ohio has been cancelled, after a line of strong storms tracked southeast and across the Ohio River this evening.

Low pressure moving across southeastern Canada coupled with a trailing cold front triggered several rounds of showers and storms in a very warm, muggy environment.

Skies will be mostly cloudy tonight, with isolated showers. Temperatures will only dip down to the low 70s, since the air will remain quite sticky.

An area of high pressure will build south from Canada on Sunday providing a flow of cooler, drier air.

High temperatures Sunday and Monday will only reach the upper 70s, with morning lows on Monday and Tuesday in the mid- to upper 50s.

Warmer conditions return by midweek, with a chance for a few showers and storms on Wednesday and the Fourth of July into the weekend.
