Ohio State Buckeyes well represented in way-too-early 2025 NFL mock draft from ESPN

Ohio State had just one player drafted in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft and that was sort of a rarity for the Buckeyes.

For a while now, Ohio State has traditionally pumped out more than one first-round pick each time that the draft comes around.

ESPN’s Matt Miller has four Buckeyes going in the first round in his recent mock draft and I’d pretty much agree with the names that he put. There is one name that doesn’t come up that may be surprising and I’ll point that out later.

    22. DE J.T Tuimoloau (Atlanta Falcons)

This time last year we were talking about Tuimoloau being a first-round pick and here we are again. Last season, the talented defensive lineman had five sacks and could have potentially been a second or third-round pick. He has a physical build that can line up inside and he’s strong enough to not get pushed around in the run game.

A player that needs to put the sack numbers on the stat sheet. He and his teammate Jack Sawyer are both potential first-round talents.

    24. DT Tyleik Williams (Green Bay Packers)

I really like this fit for Williams who will go to join a room with Kenny Clark in it, who I’m a fan of. Williams has been the best defensive tackle for Ohio State the last couple of seasons and we just watched Mike Hall Jr. go in the second round.

Williams is a threat in the interior as a pass rusher and as a run-stopper. He has a mean streak to him that can’t be coached and when he gets ball carrier wrapped up it is curtains. It should be another really good season for Williams in Columbus.

    27. RB Quinshon Judkins (Dallas Cowboys)

The last time the Cowboys took an Ohio State running back it worked out and he is actually back on the roster now. Judkins would join a running back room that features youth and a veteran from Columbus. There are some who see TreVeyon Henderson as the more talented running back, but both have the potential to hear their names called in the first round.

We have yet to see Judkins in scarlet and gr ey but his Ole Miss career was one of the best in the country over the last couple of years. The third-year college running back will surely translate that to Columbus.

    30. WR Emeka Egbuka (Detroit Lions)

If Egbuka was healthy all season last year I don’t think he would have needed up back in Columbus. Egbuka did not have the production that a first-round talent had last season and NIL exists so the Buckeyes were able to get him back.

Now, Egbuka is the veteran of the wideout room and the guy that Howard could often go to first in the new-look offense . Egbuka’a ability to get into space and make a play with the ball in his hands will be near the top of the class.
