Ohio State has been the key benefactor of the NCAA transfer portal in women's hockey. Last year it resulted in a national championship. This year, they again dipped into the portal early and often, including with the additions of defenders Sara Swiderski and Brooke Disher, and goaltender Hailey MacLeod.

Here's a look at who will be joining the Ohio State Buckeyes women's hockey team in their 2025-2026 recruiting class of rookies.

Mira Jungaker, D, HV71 - In Jungaker, Ohio State is getting one of the best young defenders on the planet. She's played in multiple World Championships for Sweden, and believes Ohio State will help her elevate her game further. She's mobile and loves to shoot the puck, and should get plenty of opportunities with four veteran defenders from Ohio State heading to the PWHL.

Josie St. Martin, F, Stillwater - Named an All-Star at the U-18 World Championships this year St. Martin stepped up as one of the top prospects in America. She scored 65 points in 23 games in Minnesota's high school loop last season, and will look to contribute immediately. Speed and hockey IQ are both strong traits.

Jordyn Petrie, F, Shattuck St. Mary's - She may not have the immediate impact, but Petrie will be a prospect to watch as she progresses. Good speed, great vision as a playmaker.

Genevieve Klein, G, Shattuck St. Mary's - Eye popping numbers backstopping Shattuck to a national title this year. Ohio State brought in MacLeod for the present, but Klein will serve as a worthy understudy waiting for her moment to take the crease and never look back.

Other recruits heading to Ohio State this season include Northfield blueliner Grace McCoshen and Shattuck's Maria Roth.
