Trump shooting is what America has become

Well, once again we see and hear people and pundits and governmental officials decrying the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.

We hear that "this is not America!"

Really?

Shall we go back and take an honest look?

Charles Whitman was most likely the first mass shooter, and who even knows his name these days?

When Columbine High School became the focus of horror, we began hearing the unending mantra of "thoughts and prayers", which has finally stopped when the high school children at Marjory Stoneman Douglas demanded that the adults "DO SOMETHING" and stop the lying and crocodile tears of sorrow and remorse.

If you have not registered to vote; if you don't exercise that right; if you do not vet every person running for every office across the land on their belief re gun control; the onus of each shooting is squarely on our shoulders.

As individuals we can do NOTHING, but as employers of those holding office (we hire them when they are voted into office), we must stop deluding ourselves that it is always on "someone else".

This coming election demands that the voters actually do some work and google those running for every office to see just what they have publicly stated about this issue.  If they do not echo your belief vote them out.

I'm tired of this endless saga.

Look around, this is what America is and will continue to be. Fault?  Get up and take a long hard look in the nearest mirror and then tell your children and grandchildren that like the politicians, you have no wish to fix this.
