    • A blackmailer of foreign governments to fabricate “evidence” against political opponents.
    • An elected official who schemed to overturn an election for the nation’s highest office.
    • A con man whose favorite targets are the fearful and uninformed.
    • A multi-millionaire who milks these targets to further enrich himself and his peers and to finance his civil and criminal trials.
    • The source of a fountain of countless lies and half-truths.
    • An instigator of hate against minorities and refugees.

Yet this man — who has never demonstrated a shred of charity, empathy, honesty, generosity, courtesy, or compassion — is lauded in a Republican convention speech and praised by prominent Christian religious figures as one who will "bring morality back to the White House."

    War is peace.

    Freedom is slavery.

    Ignorance is strength.

It’s no wonder so many people have abandoned a Christianity whose professed adherents support and encourage someone with this record to lead the nation as a representative of what we dare to call “our values."
