Ryan Day is a stellar 56-8 during his career as head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, but it's his 1-3 career mark vs. Michigan that fans have been focusing on recently after the team from Columbus' three straight losses in the series.

Day spoke to SiriusXM radio recently, revealing his thoughts on last year's loss to the eventual national championship winning Wolverines in an interview.

"Every year you gotta look at it and figure out, what it was, you know," Day said.

"You know and, you look at the first couple years and, you know, you try to identify what exactly went on in that game, and, you know, you make changes."

"Why didn't we finish it in the fourth quarter the way that, you know, we wanted to?" he continued.

"And so you look at all these different things and you make the decision and figure out, okay, how far off are we, you know, are there major changes that have to be made or not?"

"And, that was a very good team, but we still should have won the game. We didn't. You know, so why was that? What do we need to do?"

Fans reacted with venom in the comments section.

"Woulda, shoulda, coulda," one reader said. "Coach Third Base just can't accept that Harbaugh is better than him."

"They never held a lead in a game they should have won," another reader wrote with six pondering face emojis and four clown emojis.

"Come on man! Own up to the L's and do better," another fan wrote on X in the comments section of the video, which was posted by College Sports on SiriusXM.
