Vote on name for Franklin County Sheriff’s newest therapy K9

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in finding a name for their newest member.

The sheriff’s office announced on social media a new boxer puppy is joining the K9 therapy team, once training is finished. According to the sheriff’s office, the puppy’s new handler, Deputy Kennedy, is a “huge Star Wars fan,” so the department has come up with a couple of options for the pup’s name.

There are four Star Wars themed choices that you can vote for to name the puppy. You can choose Mando, Obi, Rex or Luke. Anyone can vote for their favorite name right now on the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, or you can click here .

“Vote for your favorite Star Wars inspired name and help our little pup start his journey to becoming a therapy dog,” according to the post. “May the best name win.”
