Cleveland businesses create pink-themed brew celebrating Machine Gun Kelly

COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) – Two businesses based out of Cleveland have crafted a special beer in honor of a rapper from the city.

Saucy Brew Works teamed up with 27 Coffee Club, a coffee shop opened by musician Machine Gun Kelly, to make a beer called “Mr. Pink.” The brew was made to celebrate the proclaimed Machine Gun Kelly Day, which is held annually in his hometown of Cleveland on Aug. 13.

The craft beer is described as “refreshingly unapologetic,” according to the Saucy Brew Works website. The drink is a wheat beer that is sweet and has a fruity blend of strawberries and guava.

Saucy Brew Works is holding events to celebrate the beer and Machine Gun Kelly Day. According to its social media post, the brewery noted that event details and the beer’s release will be coming in August.

The Saucy Brew Works in Columbus is also hosting a launch party for fans to try. The event was scheduled for Aug. 1 at Hubbard Grille at 793 North High Street but was postponed, according to the event website. A new date for the launch has not been announced.

The event is 21 and older, with tickets costing $20 per person. This will include a Mr. Pink beer, a themed koozie, appetizers, raffle tickets and more. For more information, follow this link .
