    Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ Are Getting Streaming Price Hikes This October

    Price hikes are coming to Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ this October.

    After having increased prices in the fall of 2023, it has been announced that Disney will once again raise the price tag on a number of Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ streaming plans. The new prices will go into effect on October 17, 2024.

    What are the new Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ prices?

    Per Deadline, the Disney+ with ads plan will rise from $7.99 to $9.99 a month, while the ad-free plan’s cost goes from $13.99 to $15.99 a month.

    Hulu with ads, meanwhile, rises from $7.99 to $9.99 while the plan without ads goes from $17.99 to $18.99 a month.

    The Disney+ and Hulu Duo Basic bundle, meanwhile, is increasing by one dollar to $10.99 a month, while the Duo Premium plan will remain at $19.99 a month.

    The ESPN+ plan with ads is also increasing by one dollar to $11.99 a month.

    Hulu+ Live TV rises from $76.99 to $82.99 a month, while the ad-free plan increases from $89.99 to $95.99 a month.

    Lastly, the Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ trio bundle is increasing by two dollars, meaning the basic plan will now be $16.99 a month and the premium plan will be $26.99 a month.

    Disney also announced that continuous playlists will be coming to Disney+ for United States customers. Both an ABC News Live and a playlist aimed at preschoolers will be available to streamers this September, the former of which will include 24/7 live newscasts and breaking news while the latter will feature series and shorts such as The Lion Guard, Puppy Dog Pals, and more.

    Four other curated playlists will be unveiled later this fall.

    “Playlists are the latest example of how we’re providing the best value and experience for our subscribers every time they open Disney+,” said Disney’s Alisa Bowen. “Whether it’s news, kids’ content, popular genres, hit TV shows, or blockbuster films, there will be something for everyone in a lean-back viewing experience based on seasonality and interest.”
