Furiosa Max Release Date Set for Streaming Debut

The Furiosa Max release date has been set for George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road prequel starring Anya Taylor-Joy.

Furiosa was released earlier this year and serves as the fifth installment in Miller’s Mad Max series. In addition to Taylor-Joy, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga also stars Christopher Hemsworth, Tom Burke, Alyla Browne, Quaden Bayles, Daniel Webber, and Lachy Hulme.

When is the Furiosa Max release date?

Warner Bros. Discovery has officially set the Furiosa Max release date for August 16, 2024, when the film will arrive on the streaming platform.

“As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”

The movie is directed by George Miller, who made the original Mad Max trilogy — 1979’s Mad Max, 1981’s Mad Max 2, and 1985’s Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome — before making 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road. Miller also co-wrote the script for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga with Nico Lathouris. He additionally produces the movie with Doug Mitchell.
