Post Malone revealed that working with Taylor Swift “was terrifying” for him.

In an interview with The New York Times published on August 8, Post Malone expressed his feelings about working with prominent artists. He opened up about what it was like to work with Taylor Swift and Beyoncé recently.

Malone collaborated with Taylor Swift on her track ‘Fortnight’ for her latest studio album, The Tortured Poets Department. He mentioned that she brought the song to his home studio in LA to record a few parts. “It was terrifying,” Malone said, adding, “I can’t even imagine being at their level—it must suck.”

Further, while discussing the video shoot for the song, Malone talked about how Swift needed an umbrella and a golf cart covered with drapes to avoid any drones or helicopters from capturing footage of her.

The rapper also mentioned that he never met Beyoncé, despite working on a song with her. He explained that most of their communication was through text, and her representative personally delivered the song to him in Utah to prevent any leaks. Referring to both Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, Malone added that he was “just honored to be in these people’s vicinity.”

‘Fortnight (feat. Post Malone)’ is the first track on Swift’s studio album The Tortured Poets Department. The album was released on April 19, 2024. Swift announced its release when she won Album of the Year at the Grammys earlier in February.

Additionally, Post Malone has an album titled F-1 Trillion coming out on August 16, 2024. This will be his first country album, featuring collaborations with artists like Dolly Parton, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, and Chris Stapleton, among many others.
