    Terminator Zero Sneak Peek Unveils New Look at Netflix’s Newest Anime Sci-Fi Series

    Netflix has dropped another sneak peek clip from the highly-anticipated Terminator Zero series, providing fans a new look at the anime TV adaptation.

    ”2022: A future war has raged for decades between the few human survivors and an endless army of machines. 1997: The AI known as Skynet gained self-awareness and began its war against humanity,” reads the official logline. ”Caught between the future and the past is a soldier sent back in time to change the fate of humanity. She arrives in 1997 to protect a scientist named Malcolm Lee who works to launch a new AI system designed to compete with Skynet’s impending attack on humanity. As Malcolm navigates the moral complexities of his creation, he is hunted by an unrelenting assassin from the future which forever alters the fate of his three children.”

    When is the Terminator Zero release date?

    Terminator Zero will be available for streaming starting on Thursday, August 29. The English voice cast includes Timothy Olyphant as Terminator, André Holland as Malcolm Lee, Rosario Dawson as Eiko, Ann Dowd as The Prophet, and Sonoya Mizuno as Kokoro. The series is written and executive produced by showrunner Mattson Tomlin. Executive producers are David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger, with Masashi Kudo directing. It hails from Production I.G, the animation studio behind Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045.

    The long-running Terminator franchise started with James Cameron’s 1984 The Terminator, which featured Arnold Schwarzenegger as a cyborg assassin tasked to go back to the past to kill Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor due to her future part in the salvation of mankind. The original was then followed by Terminator 2: Judgment Day, which was the most popular installment due to its box office and critical success.
