Paramount Plus Schedule August 19-25 2024: New TV Shows & Movies Being Added

Paramount Plus’ new TV and movies on its release schedule for August 19-25, 2024 include just one movie, Extra Ordinary.

On August 24, Saturday, Paramount Plus subscribers can tune in to the streaming platform to check out Extra Ordinary. This 2019 film is written and directed by Mike Ahern and Enda Loughman.

Extra Ordinary follows a driving instructor named Rose, who has supernatural abilities. She has a complex relationship with her powers, and is mostly ignorant of spirit related requests from locals. However, Rose later attempts to use her unusual supernatural powers and extra ordinary gifts to try and save a lonely man Martin’s daughter from a washed-up but malicious rockstar named Christian Winter. He intends to use the girl in a Satanic ritual, as he believes it is the key to his fame returning.

The film’s ensemble cast comprises Maeve Higgins as Rose Dooley, Barry Ward as Martin Martin, Will Forte as Christian Winter, Claudia O’Doherty as Claudia Winter, Jamie Beamish as Brian Welsh, Terri Chandler as Sailor Dooley, Risteard Cooper as Vincent Dooley, Emma Coleman as Sarah Martin, and Carrie Crowley as Marion Mularkey.

Moreover, supporting cast members include Mary McEvoy as Janet, Siobhan McSweeney as Boring Noreen, Allison Spittle as Allison, and Jed Murray as Astaroth the Demon.

As of writing, Extra Ordinary holds a 98% tomatometer score and a 77% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, on Metacritic, this film has a metascore of 72 and an audience score of 6.6. Both scores are indicative of favorable reviews.
