    Smile 2 Poster Previews New Look at Naomi Scott Horror Sequel

    Ahead of its official trailer release tomorrow, Paramount Pictures has shared a brand new Smile 2 poster for the next installment to 2022’s acclaimed supernatural horror movie. The Naomi Scott-led sequel is slated to arrive in theaters on October 18, 2024.

    “About to embark on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley (Scott) begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events,” reads the synopsis. “Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.”

    Who’s involved in Smile 2?

    Smile 2 is once again written and directed by Parker Finn. Joining Scott are Lukas Gage (Dead Boy Detectives), Dylan Gelula (Dream Scenario), Rosemarie DeWitt (Poltergeist), Raúl Castillo (Army of the Dead), Miles Gutierrez-Riley(Agatha All Along) and more. A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream alum Kyle Gallner is also returning to reprise his role as Joel from the 2022 movie. It is produced by Finn, Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, and Robert Salerno.

    The first installment was written and directed by Finn based on his 2020 short film Laura Hasn’t Slept. The original film starred Sosie Bacon, Jessie T. Usher, Kyle Gallner, Caitlin Stasey, Kal Penn, and Rob Morgan. In addition to being a critical success, it was also a huge hit at the worldwide box office with a gross of over $200 million against a reported budget of $17 million.
