Moon Knight trending on X (formerly Twitter) has captured the audience’s attention. It’s been two years since the first season premiered, sparking curiosity among fans. Many wonder if the trend hints at a possible Moon Knight Season 2 renewal. However, the real reason behind this trend seems to be something else.

Here’s everything you need to know about why Moon Knight is trending on X.

Did Marvel announce Moon Knight Season 2 to make it a trend on X?

Despite the excitement, Marvel Studios did not announce Moon Knight Season 2. The reason behind this trend is solely due to Brad Winderbaum’s comments on the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again.

Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel television, recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly, where he discussed the upcoming Disney Plus series Daredevil: Born Again. Winderbaum emphasized that the series would feature some of the most brutal action sequences seen in the MCU.

“I’ll tell you, some of the most brutal action we’ve ever brought to the screen is coming in Daredevil: Born Again, which isn’t a horror show, but really it packs a lot of power and there’s a lot of visceral action, to say the least,” he said. The remarks are understandable as Daredevil is a darker character, whose involvement in fighting crimes includes extreme violence and action.

However, Winderbaum’s statement about Daredevil: Born Again being packed with brutal and visceral action reminded fans of similar comments made by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige in 2022 regarding Moon Knight. “There are moments [in the series] when Moon Knight is wailing on another character, and it is loud and brutal, and the knee-jerk reaction is, ‘We’re gonna pull back on this, right?” No. We’re not pulling back. There’s a tonal shift. This is a different thing. This is Moon Knight,” Feige said. (via Comic Book)

Fans on X (formerly Twitter) quickly drew parallels between Winderbaum’s recent remarks and Feige’s previous comments, fueling the trend. Some fans expressed concerns that Marvel might be relying on similar marketing strategies for different series, while others were excited to see how the studio continues to push boundaries with its darker characters.

The devoted fanbase also used this opportunity to discuss their hopes for Moon Knight Season 2, even though no official announcement has been made.
