    2 seriously injured hit-and-run that police believe was intentional

    DENVER (KDVR) — Police said two people were seriously injured on the evening of the Fourth of July when a driver intentionally crashed into them and fled the scene.

    According to the Commerce City Police Department, two men were walking through a field on their way to watch fireworks just before 10 p.m. in the 7000 block of East 64th Avenue.

    The police department said a driver “ intentionally struck two pedestrians , running one over and seriously injuring both adult men before fleeing the area.”

    Later, the vehicle, a gray SUV, was found in Aurora. Police said that it appeared to be a targeted attack, and investigators are still trying to identify the suspect.
