SAUGUS — A real pitchers’ duel. That’s about the only way to describe Sunday’s District 16 11-year-old all-star battle between Peabody West and Lynnfield, won by West by the slimmest of margins, 1-0, at Hurd Field. With the win, West punched its ticket to the championship game Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Hurd.
Everett Little League Williamsport all-stars drop District 12 opener to South Boston
Everett Little League Williamsport Tournament all-star manager Marc Harr probably knew his squad’s District 12 opener against South Boston at Sacramone Park Saturday morning (June 29) would be a difficult, uphill battle after losing the coin flip to determine the home team.
