CLYMER, COMMODORE FIRE DEPARTMENTS AWARDED GRANT FUNDING FOR EQUIPMENT UPGRADES
Two local fire departments were recently awarded grant funding that will go towards acquiring new equipment. The Clymer and Commodore Fire Departments will share $274,285.71 that was awarded from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant. The grant was created through the Federal Emergency Management Agency in 2001 to help local fire departments across the Commonwealth obtain critically needed resources that are necessary for protecting the public and emergency personnel from fire and related hazards.

PSP REPORTS: DUI, HARASSMENT
Charges are pending against a Saltsburg man following an incident of DUI earlier this month in White Township. State police say they conducted a traffic stop along the 1300 block of Indian Springs Road shortly after 10 p.m. on July 6th and found the driver, identified only as a 45-year-old man from Saltsburg, under the influence of a controlled substance. Charges are pending in this case.
