State police at Greensburg report investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred June 26 at 11:44 a.m. in Mountain Laurel Plaza in the U-Haul parking lot. According to the report, 54-year-old Michael A. Lipuma of Johnstown was operating a 2019 Subaru Legacy eastbound at this location when the vehicle came to a stop at a designated stop sign. Investigators said Lipuma did not clear the intersection and struck a 2019 Hyundai Accent operated by 21-year-old Samira A. Jackson of Latrobe. A passenger – 27-year-old Shania J. Jackson of Latrobe – was in the Hyundai at the time of the crash. The Hyundai was traveling northbound at his location when it was struck by Lipuma’s Subaru. Investigators said no one reported any injuries at the crash scene.

At the June meeting, Woodbury Township Chairman Joe Lansberry said there had been multiple complaints regarding the intersection of Bluebird Drive and Robin Lane; supervisors gave permission to Solicitor Aimee Willett to write an ordinance for the installation of the stop sign.
