There's a slew of things in golf that you have to remember. Whether it be swing tips or actual rules straight out of the rulebook, golfers always have a million different thoughts running through their head, such as: -Keep your head down -Swing around the target -Avoid the red penalty area -If you packed snacks in your bag, make sure to take them out after the round so you don't attract bears One of those reminders is not like the other, and I'm assuming it is not too hard to figure out which one I'm talking about. Are golfers really worried about bears breaking into their golf bags? It might sound like a stretch, though one golfer in bear country learned that snack removal is just as important in golf as an on-plane swing. This video out of Connecticut shows a big ol' bear bumbling into a garage after it picked up the scent of some left behind snacks. Singling it down to the golf bag, the bruin just decided to take the whole thing and get to the food inside of it later. So the security camera shows the bear dragging away a set of golf clubs as irons scratch the roadway and fall out one by one. The bear ends up walking away with the bag itself, but if there's a silver lining to this incident, it's that the wild animal unintentionally unloaded most of the golf bag as it carried it off into the woods. Take a look: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4qn5p1O8qu/?igsh=ZWZkMzlwZDViODBq That golfer is going to have some scuffed up clubs now, though at least they don't have to pay for an entire new set of sticks. Probably just a new golf bag... Social media users got a kick out of the golf-bag-stealing bear and left some rather witty comments below the post:
"I heard this bear was hired by the wife. Paid quite a but to try to end his golfing season." "As long as he left the clubs it's all good!" "I’d let him play through." "Very sloppy caddy." "Good thing it’s on film or somebody may have blamed their partner." That's actually a really good point. Shoutout to the security camera here for potentially saving a marriage. I can only imagine what the guy would be thinking if there was no video evidence to prove the bear took his golf bag: "Really Kathy? A bear stole my golf clubs? You just don't like that I get out of of the house!"
