These are so delicious! Light and flaky crust with savory beef and cheese... it's a winner dinner in my book! Here's what you'll need to make about 6 servings:

    Ingredients:

    • 1 Pack of Puff Pastry
    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 2 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
    • 1 Tbs sugar
    • 2 tsp salt
    • 6 garlic cloves
    • 1 1/2 lb beef, thinly sliced
    • 4 1/4 cup beef stock
    • 1 tbsp black pepper
    • 4 bay leaves
    • 2/3 cup gorgonzola cheese, roughly chopped
    • 1 egg

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook for about 5 minutes, or until they begin to soften. Sprinkle the sugar and salt over the onions, and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until they caramelize, about 20-25 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.

While the onions are cooking, season the thinly sliced beef with salt and pepper.
Add the seasoned beef to the skillet with the caramelized onions and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the beef is browned on all sides.

Pour in the beef stock, add the bay leaves, and stir to combine. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 2 ½ to 3 hours, or until the beef is tender. Once the beef is cooked and the gravy has thickened, remove and discard the bay leaves, then let the mixture cool for an hour.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares or rectangles, depending on the size of rolls you prefer.

Spoon some of the beef and gravy mixture onto each piece of puff pastry, leaving a border around the edges. Sprinkle with chopped gorgonzola cheese.

Brush the edges of the puff pastry with beaten egg, fold the pastry over the filling to form a roll, and press the edges to seal. Place the rolls on a prepared baking tray.

Brush the tops of the rolls with more beaten egg for a golden finish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.

Serve hot and enjoy your homemade steak and cheese rolls!

These rolls can also be frozen for later. Simply assemble them, freeze on a baking tray until solid, then transfer to a freezer bag or container. When ready to bake, cook them from frozen at 300°F for about 35-40 minutes, or until heated through and golden brown. Enjoy!
