Low-income housing approved for Folsom Historic District
The Folsom Historic District Commission approved 10 Habitat For Humanity affordable homes on Persifer Street last week. The commission reviewed the proposal during the regular monthly meeting Aug. 7. The Persifer property was previously the site of the Marvin May building, a former firehouse, city hall annex and library. The board unanimously voted to approve the project at Coloma and Persifer streets, but had little choice with state pressure to streamline affordable housing.
Kristi's Korner: A few things to know before you sell your home
Despite having high interest rates for several years, and the highest in 20 years, homes are selling. Multiple offers are still happening and buyers with cash are out there, happily spending. In the past three months, 167 homes sold in Auburn alone, that is almost 56 homes sold each month.
