Hazmat situation forces Coolidge residents to evacuate
Some Coolidge residents were asked to evacuate their homes on Tuesday afternoon due to a hazardous materials situation, the Pinal County Sheriff's Office announced. Around 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, The Sheriff's Office asked residents who lived between Steele and Kleck roads, as well as homes between State Route 87 and Fast Track Road, to evacuate, according to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. Residents west of SR 87 to La Palma Road and the Randolph community were asked to shelter in place.
